NDI®

This guide assumes you have already setup an NDI output source on your network. To set up an NDI output using OBS Studio, see our guide.

Getting ready to telestrate is as easy as selecting your NDI Input and your Output.

Select your Input

  1. From the top corner, open the Settings menu.

  1. Under the NDI Input menu, select a source from the NDI sources list.

  2. Enable the toggle on the header of the INPUT panel to enable it in your draw area.

To disconnect from an NDI input source, press the Disconnect NDI button at the bottom of the panel.

You should now see your NDI source as the background in the main window.

Set your Output

  1. From main screen in the top corner, open the Settings menu.

  1. Then go to the "Video" tab.

  2. Under the NDI Output panel, set the settings you would like for your NDI telestrations video going out.

Output Name

This is the NDI name that appears on the network for your Telestripe output.

Resolution

Lets you select the resolution that you output your telestrations. * Note: the higher the resolution the more bandwidth it will require, possibly affecting the final FPS.

Frame Rate

Lets you select Frames Per Second (FPS) of your NDI output.

Output Background

By default your telestrations are output over NDI without your video background. Your input video is only shown in the draw area as a reference for your drawings. If you would like to also output your background video (input) with your telestrations as one, enable this option.

  1. Enable the toggle on the header of the OUTPUT panel. This will enable the output over NDI.


Your Telestripe should be set and visible on your network. When outputting, you will see a red border around the draw area to indicate that your NDI output is active.
